Fresh Tomato Sauce

This is a great recipe to use when you have fresh tomatoes or basil from the garden. Additionally, it is quick and easy without compromising taste.

Cooking Time: ~10 minutes

1 28 oz can crushed tomatoes
1 tbsp roasted garlic in oil
1 tsp chili flakes
4-5 basil leaves in slivers
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Sauce pan

1. In your sauce pan, add 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil over medium heat.

2. Add roasted garlic in oil and heat slightly. Add crushed tomatoes and stir. Add chili flakes, salt and pepper to taste.

3. Remove from heat and add slivered basil. Stir. Ready to serve with pasta and goes especially well with gnocchi!

Enjoy!
